Damsel in the Dollhouse is Nina Tucciarelli, an artist who has forged a diverse career in music, theatre, dance, photography, costume design, and visual media.

  • MUSIC: I'm the writer and vocalist for my electronic music project Damsel in the Dollhouse which was created in 2007. My music is a mix of dark wave, gothic, industrial, and synthpop styles. I have released four albums since 2010 including Fairytales, Dream Eternal, Alone at the Table, and Feast of Villains. Visit my MUSIC page to learn more about these albums.
  • THEATRE: I'm the creator of The Visceral Show, a local cabaret and burlesque show that has been performed annually since 2010. We celebrated our fifth anniversary in 2014. Visit the THEATRE page to learn more about the show.
  • DANCE: I began dancing at age 11 and choreographed my first piece at age seventeen. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Bennington College in Choreography and Video Production. My work has been shown at such events as the American College Dance Festival (in Virginia and Massachusetts), Earth Day (New Jersey), local arts events (New Jersey, New York, Montana), and in community dance performances (New York and Montana). Since 2010 I have been an active member of the dance community in Bozeman, MT, where I currently reside. Visit the DANCE page to learn more about my current projects.
  • PHOTOGRAPHY: I currently specialize in capturing live dance performances and creating unique portraits. To view my extensive body of work, please visit the PHOTOGRAPHY page.
  • COSTUME DESIGN: My work can be seen in The Visceral Show, in my live stage performances as Damsel in the Dollhouse, and in many of my photographs featured on this site. I specialize in burlesque costuming, eighteenth century inspired gowns, gothic designs, and headdress construction.
  • VISUAL MEDIA: I received my Bachelor of Arts from Bennington College for Video Production and Choreography. My experimental video work has appeared at the Dance on Camera Festival in NYC, the Empire State Film Festival which toured throughout New York and the Moving Pictures Festival of Dance on Film and Video in Canada. I most recently created three music videos for fellow electronic music artist Sergeant Sawooth. To view my work, please visit my YouTube channel.

  • MAY 2016 - Released fourth album "Feast of Villains".
  • 2015 - November - Damsel in the Dollhouse performed live along with Sergeant Sawtooth at the Cottonwood Club's art event "The Future is Female" in Bozeman, MT.
  • 2015 - November - My song Hannibal was featured on Gothic Rock Magazine's second compilation featuring goth music from around the world.
  • 2015 - October - Damsel in the Dollhouse performed live along with Sergeant Sawtooth for the Goth Ball on Saturday, October 24, at The Eagle in downtown Bozeman, MT.
  • MARCH 2013 - Released third album "Alone at the Table".

  • 2012 - October 13 - Damsel in the Dollhouse, This Is Boring with Hats, and Hellblinki performed at The Filling Station, Bozeman, MT - Saturday, October 13, 10 pm. Check out Hellblinki here and This is Boring with Hats here.

  • 2012 - April 27 - On Friday, April 27, Damsel in the Dollhouse performed at the monthly Dark Dreams dance party, at The Palace in Missoula, MT.

  • OCTOBER 2011 - Released second album "Dream Eternal".

  • 2011 - March 25 - On March 25th the Damsel performed live at the Dark Dreams dance party at the Palace in Missoula, MT.

  • 2010 - October 1 - In October the Damsel appeared with Sergeant Sawtooth at the Dark Dreams: Cabaret Carnivale Party on October 1, at the Palace in Missoula, MT.

  • APRIL 2010 - Released "Fairytales", my first electronic/industrial/gothic album.

  • 2010 - In February Damsel in the Dollhouse performed live with Sergeant Sawtooth at the Dark Dreams: Tainted Love party at The Palace in Missoula, MT.

  • 2009 - In January the Damsel performed live at The Filling Station in Bozeman, Montana.

  • 2008 - Began writing the score for The Visceral Show and new tracks for Damsel in the Dollhouse

  • 2007 - Created the musical persona Damsel in the Dollhouse (electronic/industrial music)

  • 2004 - Released my experimental album "There Is a Dungeon in the Dollhouse" featuring music composed for dance and my short films.

  • 2001 - Composed original score for multimedia performance Damsels in the Decadent Dollhouse

 
Dance and Choreography
  • 2015 - October - It's All About Giving Fundraising event. Performed my original piece "Pristine" and danced in Stevie Peterson's original piece "Off to the Races".

  • 2015 - September - INDEPENDANCE Annual Dance Concert at The Ellen in Bozeman, MT. Premiered my modern piece "Pristine" set to my original music and featuring eleven dancers.

  • 2014 - September - INDEPENDANCE Annual Dance Concert at The Ellen in Bozeman, MT. Premiered my modern piece "Three Sisters" set to my original music. Also performed "Happy Birthday", my contemporary piece set to Mozart and featuring nine dancers.

  • 2013 - September - INDEPENDANCE Annual Dance Concert at The Ellen in Bozeman, MT. Premieried the modern piece "Mother Night" set to my original music of the same name and featuring four dancers.

  • 2013 - April - MSU DANCE CONCERT held in April 2013 in the Black Box Theatre. Premiered “The Widow’s Waltz”, a jazz quartet set to Tom Waits.

  • 2013 - March - JUST DANCE held in March 2013 at MSU. Premiered “Contact”, a collaboration of contemporary dance with Stevie Peterson, set to my original music of the same name.

  • 2012 - September - INDEPENDANCE Annual Dance Concert at The Ellen - Thurs, Sept 27. Premiered modern dance piece “Mind the Gap” featuring my original music, choreography, and costumes. Performed by Skye Anderson, Stevie Bolton Peterson, Jen Grace, Casey Singer, and yours truly.

  • 2011 - June - INDEPENDANCE Annual Dance Concert at The Emerson. Premiered modern dance/theatrical piece “Pretty Constriction” featuring my original music, choreography, and costumes. Featuring Paige Franklin, Ali Price, Casey Singer, and Nina Tucciarelli.

  • 2012 - October 20 - Queens of the Night Drag Show, Elks Lodge, Livingston, MT - Sat, Oct 20. Performed as Vera Visceral in my chicken burlesque number. The show was hosted by and starred Electra Sexton, and some of the finest kings and queens of Montana drag!

  • 2012 - June 15 & 16 - MSU Bozeman - Performed as Vera Visceral in her chicken burlesque number during the opening night Made in Montana Drag Extravaganza and appeared in the opening Circus number for the Saturday spectacular with fellow Visceral gals, Vicky and Vanna.

  • 2012 - May 18-19, 25-26 - Return of The Visceral Show at The Equinox Theatre in Bozeman, MT

  • 2011 - May 20-21, 27-28 - Return of The Visceral Show (completely revamped) at The Equinox Theatre in Bozeman, MT

  • 2005-2006 - Performed in the annual New York Burlesque Festivals in NYC in 2005 and 2006

  • 2003-2007 - Director, Producer, Choreographer, Costume Designer, Photographer, and Performer for The Lipstick Lovelies Cabaret and Burlesque Group based in New York. Created ten evening-length themed shows featuring over one hundred songs, comedic skits, and audience participation games during its five year run in Albany and Hudson. Special appearances in New York City included the venues Don’t Tell Mama, Southpaw, The Highline Ballroom, and at the Byte monthly club events. Bookings included local fundraisers, Pride parades, birthday/bachelorette parties, and holiday events.

  • 2002-2002 - Performed and toured with The Two of Us Productions in the musical production of Cabaret in New York
